Short Course length:  2 Days

Experience prerequisite:  None

Short Course fee: $400.00

Course Location: Q Academy Brisbane massage school campus

Next Course date:  Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th March 2012

The 2 day Pregnancy and Infant Massage short course is designed for Massage Therapists who want to broaden their skill set. The focus will be on pregnancy massage as there is a lot of doubt and fear about the treatment of pregnant women.

We will spend both mornings on pregnancy massage focussing on signs and symptoms pregnant women present with in each trimester and how massage therapy can help (from relaxation over anatomical changes to triggerpointing).

The Sunday afternoon is reserved for the powerful tool “Infant massage”. After discussing the great research based benefits of Infant massage, a general baby massage is demonstrated.

After this course you will be able to apply a relaxation massage and treat the major musculoskeletal ailments a pregnant woman presents with. Also you will be able to perform Infant massage to the relaxed baby or help with common problems like wind, constipation, colic and reflux by showing the parents how to perform the sequence at home by themselves.
