FAQs

  • You have access to the same learning material as Q Academy’s onsite students, that is a manual and the classes presented by one of our experienced trainer and assessors. These classes are embedded into your manual as short videos.  This material steps you through both the practical and theoretical material in a logical and easy to follow sequence.

In addition, you receive one-on-one skype sessions with our trainer and assessor to help you prepare for assessments.  In these skype sessions you will have the opportunity to ask questions, demonstrate your treatments and receive immediate feedback, all in the comfort of your own home.

For more information please see the other FAQ's, or get in touch.

  • You will have the benefit of Q Academy’s 5 Star support system:

✰Fully online course manual with video lectures embedded - short 5 to 10-minute online video chapters help break the subject matter into many easy to remember and understand sessions. Mini multiple choice quizzes make it easy to test and confirm your understanding of the material. You can redo the session and do a new mini test as many times as you need, until you have mastered the subject matter (these tests are for practice only, they do not contribute or affect your formal assessments).

✰ Online Assessments – linked from your online manual to our electronic assessment platform – Cloud Assess.  In Cloud Assess you will have your own dashboard where you can complete your assessments, receive feedback and see what remains to be done in your program…you can access your assessment dashboard anywhere, anytime!

✰ Virtual class with facilitators – you will have access to chat groups (UCROO) for each of your subjects.  These groups are facilitated by tutors who specialize in each subject area.  These are the specialists who you can book your skype sessions through.

✰ Course mentors – a mentor to stick with you through the entirety of your program.  Your mentor is available to assist you for everything outside of learning course material.

✰ 60 hours fully supervised clinic – Student Clinic is the culmination of all that you learn in your program.  To ensure we have provided you with all the skills and knowledge you need to enter the massage industry successfully, we insist that you complete these clinical hours in one of our campuses (Sunshine Coast, Brisbane or Gold Coast).  This guarantees you the opportunity to work closely with our trainers to hone your skills and get experience treating a range of clients with varying conditions.  60 hours of supervised clinic is a mandatory requirement of all HLT42015 Certificate IV in Massage Therapy programs.

  • We utilize a number of assessment techniques to allow you to show us your competency.  Most theory assessments are completed via our online platform – Cloud Assess. You will have your own individual dashboard where you can complete your assessments, receive feedback and see what remains to be done in your program…you can access your assessment portfolio anywhere, anytime!

Your practical assessments throughout the program are also tracked via Cloud Assess, although you will complete these via Skype with your facilitator.
