Frequently Asked Questions

In descending order the 5 most frequently asked questions we receive are:

#5 Why do the Massage Associations & Health Funds give your online qualifications the same recognition as your on-campus courses?
Because we assess our online students continually using the interactive online course as well as through Skype video checks and then on-campus assessment & student clinic our Course Coaches can verify that our online graduates meet the same skill and competency requirements as our on-campus graduates. This ensures that our graduates that have studied online have the same skills as our on-campus students and will therefore receive the same recognition from the Health Funds and Massage Associations.

#4 How can I get the whole course (Certificate IV & Remedial Diploma) funded by the Government ?
Unfortunately Government funding schemes either allows just the Diploma component to be funded but not the prerequisite Certificate IV course, which you will need to complete before you can start the Diploma, or you can apply for AUSTUDY financial support for while you are studying.

AUSTUDY applies for both the Certificate IV & Diploma courses and does not attract interest or need to be repaid at a later date.

The governments vocational funding scheme also attract a 20% interest rate and in some instances the fee charged by other colleges, for just the Diploma in Remedial Massage component, is over $12,000 and coupled with the added 20% government interest charge, makes it nearly $15,000 that you will eventually have to repay.

This is a staggering three times our standard $5,300 Diploma in Remedial Massage fee, which you can also pay off on a plan during your course if you wish and without needing a credit check or having to be approved for finance first. SEE Comparison report with VET FEE HELP providers

 #3
If I do have to pay part myself, then what is the most affordable solution for doing both the Certificate IV in Massage & Diploma of Remedial Massage?
$750 is all you will need to get started in our part-time Combined Certificate IV & Diploma of Remedial Massage program. You will then need to make weekly contributions of $150 for 56 weeks while you are studying and you won't need to pay any extra for books, or oils or exam fees etc, because it is all-inclusive. With a final payment of $300 you will have paid $9,500 for your complete course and you won't have a study debt hanging over your head when you graduate.

#2 How does Q Academy train me in 22 weeks full time to be professionally qualified while others take up to a year or more?
Our "Intensive Immersion" full-time, Diploma of Remedial Massage course is unique in that it is truly full-time with a 5 days a week schedule for 22 weeks. That provides the same contact time as other so called "Full Time" courses which are usually just 2 or 3 days a week at most. This minimises time wastage and allows our graduates to start working as fully qualified Remedial Therapists,  and earning money, much sooner.

All our courses are taught live in class and there are no "Self Study" sessions included. We do not teach by subject but integrate our subjects so our students get a much more balanced experienced. Our courses are all science based and we publish an in-depth overview of our course content on this site. Using kinaesthetic teaching techniques we make sure everybody is engaged and we also make it fun to keep everybody energised.  To maximise our students learning ability we only teach the theory subjects in the morning sessions when everybody is alert and fresh and then teach the massage practice subjects in the afternoon sessions from day 2 onwards.

By the time you graduate you will have been massaging every day, in class, for nearly 110 days as well as doing your own log book sessions at home in the evenings and weekends. You will also have done two Student Clinics and massaged over 50 customers, so we can guarantee that you will be fully industry ready when you graduate in 22 weeks time.

Our most frequently asked question and the one we love to answer the most is:-

#1 Will I be able to find employment after I graduate, especially with professional clinics?
We find that most of our students have already found or arranged employment before they graduate with their Diploma of Remedial Massage as they were able to start working professionally from when they  completed the Certificate IV in Massage component.

We have a large number of job vacancies listed on our site and we also conduct industry nights where prospective employers can meet our students just before they graduate.

The best indication of how well our graduates are regarded in the industry and by leading professional Massage Clinics is to read some of the comments we have received from them.

There is no better verification then what employers themselves say.

"When recruiting for my business I look for therapists that will satisfy the needs of my customers. They must be knowledgeable, have
good clinical skills, be reliable and professional
and be enthusiastic in their work.

Over the years I have employed a number of Q Academy graduates and course instructors to work in my team.

If you have the desire Q Academy has the
resources for you to become a great therapist."
